Dr Hayei is recipient of Maulidur Rasul award

Six others also received the Maulidur Rasul award at the function.

They are Wee Soon Yen, a Form Four student at SMK Bachok in Kelantan, former Education Ministry deputy director-general (Islamic Education and Moral Department) Datuk Dangiran Mustapha, International Islamic University Malaysia (Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design) professor Prof Dr Ismawi Zen, National Heart Institute (IJN) chief executive officer Tan Sri Dr Robaayah Zambahari, former Inland Revenue Board (IRB) chief executive officer Tan Sri Hasmah Abdullah and former Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Tan Sri Ibrahim Engku Ngah.

Wee, who scored As for all subjects, including Arab Language, in the Penilian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination last year, had not expected to be named one of the recipients of the prestigious award.

She said her achievement in the PMR was nothing much compared with the award.

"However, the award means a lot to make me continue to learn Arabic," said Wee, the only non-Muslim student to score A for the Arab Language subject in the PMR examination last year

I salute Wee and it shows if there is a will, there must be a way and people who are successful are not the one who only gave excuses, but working hard towards achieving one's goals and dreams. Once again..Mabrouk !
